Housekeeper (PT - Weekend: Saturday and Sunday)

Must be available to work on weekends and 1 - 2 additional days during the week. We are looking for a PT Housekeeper who can work 8 hours on Saturday and 8 hours on Sunday (must be available on both days). Under direction, the Housekeeper is responsible for the general care and cleaning of the building, grounds, and equipment to which assigned. In addition, the Housekeeper will also be responsible for room set-up and event preparation.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Daily cleaning of building and grounds (mopping, sweeping, dusting, emptying of trash cans, cleaning restrooms, etc.) with a sensitivity to appearance and safety
• Daily check with Supervisor for request of services (room set-ups, deliveries and other special needs)
• Report problems encountered in the course of completing tasks
• Report needed information for which work orders might be prepared
• Report supply and equipment needs
• Ground duties, which may include snow removal, salting, emptying of trashcans, picking up litter, etc.
• Performs additional custodial duties and assignments as requested

Required Qualifications:

• A minimum of one (1) year custodial or related experience
• Must be able to communicate with all levels of staff
• Must be available to work weekends
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs
• Experience with janitorial cleaning equipment a plus
