Wells Fargo Math Counts

Math Counts introduces children to the wonderful world of math in a fun, informative way. Enjoy a special storytime before engaging in fun activities that deal with the basic building blocks of math: sets and patterns, counting, numerosity, geometry – even algebraic thinking! Programming takes place approximately every other Friday from 2:30 – 3:30 p.m.

Explore the many colors of fish and discover the many different patterns that can be made with fish.

Jun 9 & 23: Animal Shapes 
What has 4 equal sides? Is it a square or can it be the head of a cow? Explore basic geometry with shapes and the different animals you can create!

Jul 7 & 21: Rock and Roll
Come and use your counting skills as you roll a dice and count to discover how many rocks will take to fill up the jar.

Aug 4 & 18: Shape Construction
How do you make a triangle or a rhombus?  Use sticks and wire to create and assemble a variety of shapes to explore their attributes.

Sep 1 & 29: Patterns in Nature
Pinecone, rock, pinecone, rock….What comes next? Discover the different patterns that are found in nature and see what patterns you can create with natural materials.
