Insect Zoo

Monday, October 11, 2010

10 a.m. – 12 p.m.

Kids love bugs – and Anderson Pest Solutions loves kids. So it's only natural that APS would team up with the Museum to help kids learn more about the fascinating world of insects.

Tom Dobrinska, APS Training Director and staff entomologist, and Mark Mayer, APS Service Specialist and Chief Bug Keeper, will visit the Museum bringing along some of their unusual insect friends for children to experience up close, including:

  • A praying mantis that looks just like a dead leaf
  • Striped cockroaches that make hissing noises
  • Giant grasshoppers and a millipede as long as your hand!
