The Big Idea: Sound is created by vibrations that change when amplitude and pitch are altered. Different instruments and tools create different vibrations that we can see, feel and hear.

Package #1 – VIRTUAL FIELD TRIP VIDEO RENTAL: You will have access to a playlist of videos for one week of instruction, and you can break up our instructional and educational videos however you please.
Video package includes:
- Three recorded activities
- Construct a harmonica from household items.
- Create a xylophone and experiment with pitch.
- Use patterns to explore pitch and amplitude.
- Three recorded informational videos
- Learn about pitch and amplitude and how they affect sound waves.
- Explore vibrations made in the Museum’s Ravinia Festival Music Makers exhibit.
