Argentine School
Public schools in Argentina are typically only half-day, students either come for classes in the morning or in the afternoon. At school, all students wear a uniform called delantal, a white smock for the girls and a white lab coat for the boys. Even teachers wear a uniform to classes.
- Dress up in the same uniforms that students and teachers wear today.
- Practice Spanish numbers, words, and phrases at the chalkboard or at a desk.
- Create an Argentine flag to take home with you.
- Practice Spanish words for colors and shapes with activities at the desks.
- Learn about the Casa Rosada, the office of the Argentine president, similar to the United States’ White House.
- Listen to popular songs by Maria Elena Walsh, a famous Argentine children’s musician, or read some of her short stories.
