Theater Games

It’s time to let your inner actor out with Theater Games. Through a variety of creative dramatic exercises, we will explore gross and fine motor skills, problem solving, listening and speaking skills, following directions, and building confidence. Theater games takes place Sundays at 10 AM and Thursdays at 1 PM.

Oct 5, Oct 9, Oct 12, Oct 16:

Slow and Flow

Every day you brush your teeth. But what if you did it in SLOW MOTION? Or super fast motion? Or backwards? How silly can we get doing ordinary activities at different speeds!

Oct 19, Oct 23, Oct 26, Oct 30:

Monster Mash

Let’s be mad scientists and build a monster. Be the big, sharp teeth. Or the wings. Or the tentacles. Then work together with the other monster parts so we can scare the grown-ups. RAAAR!

Nov 2, Nov 6, Nov 9, Nov 13:

The Backwards Room

We’ve made a startling discovery here at the Museum: a room where everything happens BACKWARDS! Eat a sandwhich: BACKWARDS! Act out every day activities from finish to start.

Nov 16, Nov 20, Nov 23, Nov 27:

Sad Pirate

What does a pirate look like when it’s sad? What does a tree do when it’s happy? We explore our emotions as different characters, animals, and objects/

Dec 4, Dec 7, Dec 11, Dec 14:

Marching Madness

Left! Left! Left, right, left! Let us march to the sound of our own drum. Come along with Theater Games as we march like a school band and pirates, and even ants!

Dec 18, Dec 21, Dec 28:

Winter Wonderland

What’s better than playing outside in the snow? Pretending to play outside in the snow so you stay warm. A full day of imaginary sledding, snowballs, and hot cocoa awaits us.

Jan 4, Jan 8, Jan 11, Jan 15:

Party, Party!

Celebrate the new year with a fancy party. Then with a pizza party. Then as a party for cats (no dogs allowed). We’ll party til the cows come home (and then party as the cows coming home) using our imaginations.

Jan 18, Jan 22, Jan 25, Jan 29:

Statues ‘R’ Us

Statues come in all shapes and sizes. There are even some that look like us. Become artists and carve your friends into silly positions for fun and ART!

Mar 1, Mar 5, Mar 8, Mar 12:

Invisible Catch

Can you catch a giant ball that weighs a million pounds? What about a baseball that’s suuuuuper hot? Or a mouse? Come have fun throwing and catching all sorts of imaginary objects.

Mar 15, Mar 19, Mar 22, Mar 26:

Once Upon A Time:

Oh no! We totally forgot the story we were going to tell you. Can you help us create and draw a new one?
