Pop-Up Museum
As part of our commitment to ensuring that every child and family has access to a high-quality children’s museum experience, we are very excited to provide the Kohl Children’s Pop-Up Museum. This allows us to serve children and families in under-resourced areas by bringing our exhibits and programs to them directly, inspiring future generations in their own neighborhoods.

Free public hours
- Wednesdays from 4:30 – 6:30 PM
- Thursdays – Saturdays from 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM
- Free weekday field trips now available for qualifying classrooms. E-mail fieldtrips@kcmgc.org for more information or fill out the form below.
Activities
The Pop-Up includes high-quality interactive STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Math) elements:
- Airmazing: Propel objects through tubes and balance balls on columns of air.
- Design and Build: Explore engineering and construction with Rigamajig and design train paths on our Train Table.
- Light and Shadow: Play with colors and patterns on light tables and create shadows with our shadow dome.
- Motion Quest: Experiment with using air pressure, gravity, and gears to make things move with out actually touching them.
- Art Studio: Easels, make-it stations, and 3D sculptures
- Book Nook

Please note that this is not a confirmation. Your trip is confirmed when you receive a field trip confirmation letter.
The Pop-Up Museum will be open for field trips Wednesdays-Fridays from 10/13-1/16
